ForgeCalc calculates the real cost of every FDM and resin print and laser job — material, machine, labor, post-processing — and generates an invoice with its mandatory mentions in just a few clicks. 100% local, no subscription.
Free version, no card and no account · Windows · No internet connection required to invoice · Full version €49 (launch price), one-time payment

Every file, found. One folder, or your whole drive. ForgeCalc lists your STL, OBJ, 3MF and STEP files, shows the part in 3D (STL, OBJ, 3MF) with its dimensions and volume — and flags holes before you start the print.

What your sliced file really holds. Print time, layer height, nozzle, infill, walls: read from your actual slicing. Plus a strength estimate and advice specific to the material.

Materials read and weighed on their own. Four colors in the part, four lines in the quote, each with its real weight to the gram and its spool. No retyping.

Your machines and spools, live. Every printer, its purchase price, its power draw, its AMS units and the filament loaded in each slot — with the machine's real state once it's connected.

Quote or invoice, one click away. Every line with its calculation spelled out — 69.41 g × 2 parts × €0.04/g — and the mandatory legal wording already in place.

What you actually make. Revenue, invoiced margin, real cost, machine usage, filament consumed: this month and overall.
Real screenshots from ForgeCalc. The company details shown on the document are fictional. The screenshots show the French interface — ForgeCalc is fully translated into English, switchable under Settings → Language.
You have to pull out a calculator, guess at machine wear, forget the labor — for every single part.
No link to the actual file, no audit trail for a tax inspection, nothing for resin.
Even though it has its own economic model (per ml, not per gram) and its own risks (open resin, UV, post-cure).
Yet in France every business must be able to receive e-invoices since September 2026, and micro, small and medium businesses must issue them from September 2027.
Factur-X (France), ZUGFeRD (Germany), UBL/Peppol BIS (Belgium), FatturaPA (Italy), Facturae (Spain), KSeF/FA(3) (Poland), UBL/Peppol (United Kingdom), CIUS-RO (Romania), myDATA (Greece), JP PINT (Japan), PINT A-NZ (Australia / New Zealand) — structured XML in each national system's format, validated against its official schema, plus an optional UBL export for exchanges via DBNAlliance (USA/Canada). And a wrong invoice is never deleted: it is cancelled by a credit note, full or partial, or by a replacement invoice that references it — as the law requires.
11 countriesA British workshop invoices in pounds, a Japanese one in yen, a Polish one in złoty: the currency follows your company's tax country, in the PDF as in every electronic format. No conversion — your rates stay the numbers you typed, only the unit changes. And the document is written in the language of your country, not of your screen: title, headings, totals, legal wording and line details.
9 currenciesFull resin tracking: opening date, exposure time, UV wavelength, post-cure — not just a rough volume estimate.
22 FDM materials referencedYou model a part, you digitize an object with a 3D scanner, you repair a mesh: every one of those hours can be invoiced, with or without printing afterwards. A modelling-only quote then mentions neither material nor machine time — it describes the service you actually sold.
4 kinds of serviceDiode, CO2, fibre, UV or a laser module mounted on a 3D printer: describe your machine once and ForgeCalc adapts. Sheets are billed per m², offcut included — or not at all when you engrave your customer's own item — and laser time at each machine's own rate. Only the materials your machine can process are offered, and PVC always triggers a warning.
5 laser technologiesDetects holes and non-manifold edges before printing — no more discovering them mid-slicing.
Bambu Lab (cloud), Prusa (local PrusaLink), and Creality, Anycubic or any Klipper machine (Moonraker, on your local network) with real-time tracking — for all others, manual fleet setup and multi-color systems (AMS, CFS, ACE Pro, SnapSwap, QIDI Box...).
125 machines · 29 manufacturersFrench, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese — right down to the per-material technical sheets, FDM, resin and laser.
No mandatory cloud account, no third-party server for invoicing, no monthly fee piling up. And your accounting records are copied automatically every time you close the app — seven rotating backups, without asking.
Low material stock, filaments under 200g, connected machines in error, quotes unanswered for 24h, unpaid invoices — checked automatically every 60 seconds, no need to go looking.
The dashboard counts the money actually received, by month and by quarter, at the payment date rather than the invoice date: that is the figure you declare. For your sales to private customers, a summary by VAT rate (net, VAT, gross) over the period you need — what e-reporting asks you to transmit. And a CSV export for your accountant.
An invoice is still unpaid? ForgeCalc flags it, and produces the reminder letter ready to send: number, date, amount still due, due date — and for a business customer, the late-payment terms already written on the invoice. Nothing in your history is changed.

One workstation
Up to 3 workstations
You set up your machine, your hourly rate and the price of your filament or resin once. After that ForgeCalc reads the sliced file and works out material, machine time, electricity, wear, post-processing and your failure rate. The quote comes out as a PDF with the wording your country requires, and your own cost price stays on your side — it never appears on the customer's document. For a one-person workshop, that is also how you check a price really covers your time before you name it.
You need a PC running Windows 10 or Windows 11 64-bit, about 1 GB of disk space, and administrator rights for the duration of the install. The 3D preview needs a graphics card supporting OpenGL — any normal desktop or laptop has one. ForgeCalc does not run on macOS, on Linux, on Windows 8 or 7, nor on PCs with an ARM processor (Surface Pro X and similar). To check in ten seconds: Windows Settings → System → About, the “System type” line — it must say “64-bit”. Finally, because ForgeCalc is a recent program published by a craftsman, Windows shows a “Windows protected your PC” screen on first launch: click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. It will not come back.
Yes, for the main ones. The gcode.3mf from Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer and their derivatives (Creality Print, Elegoo, Anycubic, Flashforge) is read in full: time, weight per filament, colours, settings. The gcode from PrusaSlicer, SuperSlicer, QIDI, Simplify3D and ideaMaker gives time, weight and material; so does PrusaSlicer's binary bgcode, when its metadata is not compressed. Cura (and Creality Slicer, derived from it) only writes the filament length: the weight is then calculated from the material density, and ForgeCalc flags it as “estimated”. For resin, PrusaSlicer's sl1, Chitubox / Elegoo's ctb and Anycubic's pwmx give time and volume. Whatever a file does not say stays empty and flagged: nothing is guessed for you.
Yes — resin has its own calculation model (per ml, not per gram), with tracking of the opening date, exposure time, UV wavelength, and post-cure. It's not a secondary module — it's treated with the same rigor as FDM.
Yes, whatever your machine: diode, CO2, fibre, UV or a laser module on a 3D printer. You set its technology and, if you wish, its own rates; sheets are billed per m², offcut included, or not at all when you engrave your customer's own item. Laser time is entered as estimated by your laser software (LightBurn, xTool Creative Space, LaserGRBL…). Materials that are dangerous under a laser — PVC, vinyl, faux leather — always trigger a warning.
No. The classic PDF export remains available without restriction. The electronic formats (Factur-X, ZUGFeRD, UBL/Peppol, FatturaPA, Facturae, KSeF...) are there for the day your status, country, or revenue requires it — you don't need to change anything before then. Note: some formats have their own limitations (e.g. Facturae in Spain requires a separately added XAdES electronic signature) — see the details in each export window. Not to be confused with transmission: ForgeCalc produces the file in the required format, but sending it goes through your country's official channel — an approved platform in France (receiving mandatory since 1 September 2026, issuing from 1 September 2027 for micro, small and medium businesses), SdI in Italy, KSeF in Poland, the Peppol network in Belgium. That connection is not part of ForgeCalc and remains your responsibility. A note on languages: the ForgeCalc interface exists in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. The Romanian (CIUS-RO), Greek (myDATA) and Japanese (JP PINT) formats are produced correctly, but the interface stays in English in those countries.
Without ever deleting it or reusing its number — that is the law (article 289-I-5 of the French General Tax Code). The “Cancel” button asks about your situation and produces the right document: a full credit note if the sale is dropped, a partial credit note if you correct the amount downwards, or a replacement invoice that states expressly that it cancels the previous one. Each document carries the number and date of the original invoice, and your turnover is corrected only once. As a PDF, always. As an electronic invoice with Factur-X, ZUGFeRD, UBL, Peppol, CIUS-RO, JP PINT and PINT A-NZ; FatturaPA, Facturae, KSeF and myDATA each have their own correction procedure, carried out directly on the national platform.
Not for invoicing — all calculation and document generation run 100% locally. A connection is only useful if you want live tracking of your printer (Bambu Cloud or PrusaLink).
Because the first buyers take a risk the next ones will not: no testimonials yet, no track record. The first 100 licenses are therefore €49 (Studio €119); after that, €69 (Studio €149). Nothing else changes — the software, the included updates and the support are the same, and the price paid during the launch is never claimed back. Upgrading from Pro to Studio costs the difference between the two current prices: €70 during the launch, €80 afterwards.
Exactly the same software — Studio covers up to 3 workstations instead of just one, for a shared workshop or multiple PCs. You can upgrade from Pro to Studio at any time, paying only the difference.
Each key is locked to the workstation it was issued for — there is no free transfer if you change computers. Two options: upgrade to the Studio license (up to 3 workstations, paying the difference) if you want to cover multiple machines, or purchase a new Pro license for the new workstation. Full details in our Terms & Conditions.
The legal 14-day right of withdrawal applies as long as your license key has not yet been delivered to you. Once the key has been provided (with your express consent given at the time of order), the software is considered delivered — see full details in our Terms & Conditions and the dedicated page.
Two different things, and the distinction matters. The license is perpetual: you pay once, the software is yours, it keeps working with no time limit. Updates are included for five years from the delivery of your key: defect fixes, Windows compatibility, improvements. With one exception that counts: changes imposed by law — a new e-invoicing format, a mandatory wording that changes — are provided with no time limit, for as long as I keep trading. A future major version would be a separate, paid product, with no obligation to move to it. The detail is in article 8.3 of the Terms.
From sliced file to invoice,
four real steps.
Scan or drop your sliced file
ForgeCalc reads the file exported by your slicer directly — .gcode.3mf from Bambu Studio, Orca and Creality Print, .gcode and .bgcode from PrusaSlicer, Cura, Simplify3D, and resin files (Prusa, Chitubox, Anycubic) — print time, weight or resin volume, materials are already in there. No re-entering data.
Check the model's integrity before printing
Holes, non-manifold edges — detected automatically, with a direct link back to your slicer or 3D Builder to fix them.
The price is built line by line
Material, machine wear, labor, detailed post-processing (painting, sanding, screws, glue, isopropyl alcohol...) — every line is real, never a vague flat fee.
→ Shown above: €1.47 + €12.50 + €4.00 = €17.97
Invoice or quote, PDF or electronic, in one click
Classic PDF export, or an electronic invoice in the target country's format — Factur-X (France), ZUGFeRD (Germany), UBL/Peppol BIS (Belgium), FatturaPA (Italy), Facturae (Spain), KSeF/FA(3) (Poland), UBL/Peppol (United Kingdom), CIUS-RO (Romania), myDATA (Greece), JP PINT (Japan), PINT A-NZ (Australia / New Zealand) — same click. The file is produced by ForgeCalc; sending it through the country's official channel (approved platform, SdI, KSeF, Peppol…) remains your responsibility.
Two levels of verification, stated plainly. Five formats — Factur-X, French UBL, UBL/Peppol BIS, JP PINT, CIUS-RO — are checked at every release against the official rules of their jurisdiction. The others are validated against their official schema, but their country publishes no rules that can be checked outside its own platform: send a test file before your first real invoice. Each format's tooltip repeats this inside the software.
